Fishing pays the salad line twice. Fish go into a composter for fertilizer. Propellers are the rare catch used as a part in automated potato-salad builds.
How a cast resolves
Equip a wooden fishing rod or an iron fishing rod and cast into water. A dark shape moves toward the bobber. When it touches the bobber and splashes, reel in. Most catches are ordinary fish. Propellers are described as a legendary result on that same table, so a string of fish is the expected outcome.
The iron rod is the one with a higher luck stat. It costs more to craft. The wooden rod is the early option. One bait piece takes three carrots. The Pro pass from original Islands is reported to add Lucky Fishing on top of the rod and the bait. Bait and the pass raise the chance. They do not publish an exact propeller rate.
Where to stand
The water by the spawn hub is the baseline pool. When those fish are cleared, more spawn and move toward the line. Slime Island ponds are described as denser. The slime portal is the one beside the Adventurer NPC. You can fish there on the same trip as gears and keys.
What to do with the catch
- Put fish in a composter. One layout note is three fish for three basic fertilizer, used on slow crops.
- Keep every propeller. They are named as a part for an automated potato-salad setup. A drop rate was not published, so do not throw them into a shop just because the first one took a long time.
- Carrot seeds from hub vendors are the bait supply. A small carrot patch is enough if you only fish in short sessions.
Fertilizer belongs on crops that are slower than the washers. If the processor is already backed up, more fertilizer will not make bowls appear faster. That choice is on the potato salad line.
